The vet tech relayed the message of the Medical Director that ” The decision has already been made” to proceed with euthanasia and declined to speak to the Founder personally. “

Rudy was a young and energetic dog. Shelter life had been hard on this boy. Volunteers have worked with him to find his outlet in toys. Rudy loved fetch and soccer balls.

Goofy was just a scared boy… He allowed petting, took treats and didn’t show aggression at all. Volunteers pleaded his case with the supervisor, who promised to reevaluate Goofy. However, the shelter still euthanized him because his date was marked FINAL! There was no additional evaluation, no second chance, and no outreach to rescue or SJAA.

Upon arrival at the shelter, Gabriel had a probable broken jaw. SEAACA refused to fix it. A rescue group did find out about the puppy and sent an email offering to save him, twice. Gabriel arrived after hours on Saturday evening. The SEAACA pound is closed on Sunday and Monday and did not reply until Tuesday to inform the rescuers that Gabriel was dead.

Marked as “Aggressive” by shelter. However, videos made by volunteers clearly show how stressed and overwhelmed Mayvis is by the shelter’s loud environment. Given the fact that she was not spayed, she was probably bred and later dumped on the streets. Mayvis was killed within a week of staying at the shelter.
